We were asked to film a variety of dance choreography in the cold winter months of Maine, to be used in a live performance of dance choreography in Colorado. We of course said yes.
Collective Motion is one of Maine’s finest dance communities, which is uniquely non competitive! They are located in Saco, ME and even have amazing school break programming!!

From a frozen lake to a rocky coast, this modern troupe recorded their material for use in a live presentation with other dancers across the country in Colorado. A few professional dancers, all individually also teachers, were given very few parameters, and limited vocabulary to create individual works with a common purpose. We were able to capture the essence of their movement in tandem with amazing locations. The project was very well received on both coasts.
